G2 Trainer Mats

Ok, so I just went crazy over these illustrated mats and resistance balls! They instruct you on how to do certain things - yoga poses for a yoga mat, or pilates, abs, stretching, back health, or maternity - even golf! There's also a resist-a-ball that has exercises built right into it. Whatever makes exercise SIMPLER and more motivating is always exciting, and for those who are looking for a good mat or resistance ball, why not get one with built-in ideas? All the poses are physician certified, and there's even a mousepad with stretches to do while you're sitting ar your desk. So here's my official recommendation for buying mats and ball: G2Yoga.com

Free Vinyasa Flow Yoga

This new series at Vixen Fitness will take place every Sunday at 11 am at Vixen Fitness in Detroit. Click here to pre-register & please consider bringing your own mat as we have only about 15 mats at the studio to go around and this class is free which means we are anticipating a crowd!

Set to upbeat music, this flowing Vinyasa Yoga class will have you feeling great as you transition through sequences of yoga poses. A flowing yoga class is non-static, meaning you don't stay in one pose for very long, so it's a light cardio workout that will increase flexibility and strength. This class also focuses on breathing techniques that will help your body get through the more challenging parts, and help you relax and clear your mind during downtime. Dress comfortable and bring a yoga mat (some available in studio). Cost: FREE Must arrive 15 minutes before class to participate.

Claire Missingham does such an excellent job of demonstrating Vinyasa flow:
